What’s the Difference Between Veneers and Crowns?
While both improve the look of your smile, veneers cover only the front surface of your tooth and are mainly for cosmetic purposes. Crowns, on the other hand, cover the entire tooth and are used when there's more damage or decay. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, we’ll help you decide during your visit.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Veneers?
If your teeth are healthy but have cosmetic flaws such as chips, cracks, discoloration, or uneven spacing, then you may be a great candidate for porcelain veneers. Our team will perform a thorough exam to make sure your gums and enamel are in good condition before moving forward with treatment.
What’s the Veneer Process Like?
Getting porcelain veneers typically takes two appointments. At your first visit, we’ll prepare the teeth by gently removing a small amount of enamel. Then we’ll take digital impressions and send them to our trusted dental lab, where your custom veneers will be created.
In the meantime, you’ll wear temporary veneers to protect your teeth and give you a preview of your new smile. Once your permanent veneers are ready, we’ll bond them into place and make final adjustments to ensure a natural fit and feel.
